Anger-Man shoots golfer who broke his window

RENO, NEVADA - An angry homeowner apparently had better aim than a Nevada golfer whose errant ball broke the window of a home that overlooks the course. Jeff Fleming, 53, of Reno is accused of opening fire with a shotgun on a golfing twosome, hitting one man who was treated at a hospital and released, police said on Friday.
Why-Larry Flynt offers $1M for Mitt Romney's tax returns
Hustler Magazine founder Larry Flynt is offering up to $1 million for Mitt Romney's tax returns or any other information about the candidate's personal finances. Flynt took out two full-page ads — one in Sunday's Washington Post and the other to run Tuesday in USA Today — seeking Romney's "unreleased tax returns and/or details of his offshore assets, bank accounts and business partnerships," according to Adweek. The notorious porn publisher and free-speech fighter will pay a reward for "documented evidence," and promises to keep any informants' names confidential. Romney has released his 2010 return and part of his 2011 return (the rest due to be released in October) but has so far refused calls to provide any tax information prior to 2010. Critics charge he hasn't paid his fair share on the millions, or billions, he made in his days as a businessman and the head of investment firm Bain Capital. Last week, a hacker group claimed to have stolen Romney's pre-2010 tax returns from a PricewaterhouseCooper's office in Tennessee and demanded $1 million to not release the information on Sept. 28.
Wow-Smarter Than the Average Bear

A three-year-old black bear that had been wandering through La Crescenta on Sunday morning has been tranquilized and is being transported back to the Angeles National Forest, officials said. The bear was first spotted on Henrietta Ave. in La Crescenta at about 7:20 a.m. Sunday, Los Angeles County Sheriff Lt. Angela Shepherd said. It wandered on to the Crescenta Valley High School football field, crossed the 210 freeway three times and then went south into the community of Montrose, where officials of the California Department of Fish and Game caught up with the animal and tranquilized it, Shepherd said.
The bear caused no injuries or property damage, she said. Like other bears during this hot, dry summer, it probably came out of the forest to look for food, Shepherd said. Officials have not yet said whether the bear is male or female. It will be tagged so it will be recognizeable if it comes back down from the forest again. Another bear, dubbed "Meatball" by some and "Glenbearian" by others, has been taken to an animal sanctuary because it repeatedly came down into suburban neighborhoods.

Good or Bad-Pole Dancing Class for Kids

BRITISH COLUMBIA - While health experts have called for a concerted effort in battling childhood obesity and promoting fitness, some people are struggling to support one Canadian dance studio’s latest class.  Kristy Craig, a dance instructor at Twisted Grip in British Columbia, is currently accepting students for Little Spinners, a pole dancing class for kids, ABC News reports. Craig said her classes are about fitness and fun, not sex. She
said pole dancing is an excellent cardiovascular and upper-body workout. The class has four students signed up so far, and their parents already take the adult class. "Some of my more advanced students have poles at home to practice and stretch. It would be great if there were classes where they could learn how to properly do something," she told CNN.
What-Teens accidentally shoot off his private part
PORT ST. LUCIE, Florida -- A teenager is recovering after police say he shot himself in the penis and testicle while cleaning a gun he just bought. It happened Thursday morning at a home on the 200 block of Verada Street in Port St. Lucie. Police say 18-year-old Michael Smeriglio first lied to police saying someone shot him while he was walking down the street. After being questioned by police he admitted to accidentally doing it himself. Doctors say the bullet went through his penis, his left testicle and then lodged itself in his thigh. Smeriglio told police he bought the gun last month at a party.
